| | The Principle Approach:
"The Foundation for American Christian Education was founded in 1965 with
the purpose of reminding Americans of their unique Christian liberty-
heritage documented in primarysources. The Foundation’s goal remains
steadfast—to re-arm Americans with the principles of liberty that formed our
nation enabling them to be Keepers of Liberty and, in so doing, to uphold a
standard of credible Christian scholarship. The Noah Plan curriculum was
created for a specific philosophy and method of education, the Principle
Approach, modeled after the historic method of education taught during the
founding era that formed the American Christian character. The founding
generation’s education grounded them in Judeo-Christian principles that are
the blueprint for liberty and individual leadership. Teaching the Principle
Approach today to individual children ensures that the American Christian
character and history of excellence and achievement will continue to
flourish." http://face.net/pamain.htm

| | Tapestry of Grace is a classical, unit-study approach which guides the whole
family though 4 years of study of world history, with an emphasis on
western/American history, using primarily good literature. When you finish
the 4 years, you merely start again, moving your children to more
challenging books. This Christian curriculum covers history, literature,
art and music history, church history, philosophy, geography, and writing
for all ages. Government is included for the high schooler. While
providing the lessons for you, Tapestry does recommend at least an hour of
study each week for the parent to prepare for meaningful discussions. http://www.tapestryofgrace.com

| | TRISMS. As per their website:
TRISMS Curriculum is designed to impart a chronological survey and
geographical progression of mankind throughout time. It is our goal to equip
the home school and private, charter or public school students with skills
that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning. TRISMS is more than a
history study for high school and middle school. It is designed to build
upon a foundation of research, discovery, and language from late elementary
school through high school.
One of the primary goals is to teach students to ask questions, find
answers, and transfer information from reading to thinking, to writing, and
to speaking. Designed with the busy homeschool family in mind, TRISMS
teaches independent critical thinking and unit study style skills to prepare
the student for college.
Throughout the year the student will read literature, biographies,
historical fiction, cultural studies, and most varieties of reference
materials. TRISMS is easily adapted to a multi-level setting in the home
school with all ages of students using a classical and innovative approach. http://www.trisms.com
