Musical Practice This coming Wednesday (30th) is our school Musical. If you are able to help drive for our 'all school practice' at the Library on Wednesday morning, please sign up on the sheet outside Mrs. Dolan's classroom. We will also have pick up from the library. Pick up your kindergartener at the Library - Louck's Auditorium - on Wednesday at 11:30. Field trip This time we don't need drivers! :-) We are going to ride the Cherriots city bus for a "joy ride" on Thursday, May 24.  There is no cost.  We will walk to the bus stop on Lone Oak and Idylwood, ride a few blocks, get off at Sunnyside and Hilfiker, then walk back to school.  Make sure your child has comfy walking shoes! Glue Stick Alert <IMG border=0 align=absMiddle src="/Controls/DHtmlEditor/Images/emcrook.gif"> Believe it or not, some kids are out of glue sticks!  Please ask your child if they are in need of more.  Money Drill No, I'm not asking for more money.  However, if you have change in your pocket, ask your child to name the coin and tell how much it is worth.  (We have also learned the guys' name on each.) We have been working on it for quite a while, but you know how extra practice can help.  Also, keep reviewing the counting by 5's, 10's, and even 2's for a challenge.  Driving in the car is a good time to count!  <IMG border=0 align=absMiddle src="/Controls/DHtmlEditor/Images/emsmiled.gif">  School Musical The entire school (Pre-K thru 8th grade) will be performing "Ye-Ha" on Wednesday, May 30th. The Costume for the Kinders should be a western looking outfit.  A flyer with examples was sent home and is also posted at school.  Otherwise anything like a plaid shirt, blue jeans, a bandana, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat would be great.  (I hear cowboy hats can be found at Dollar Tree.) 22nd Letterbook Completed We have completed our 22nd letterbook. The kinders are improving so much with their reading. The practice is paying off! Be sure to have your child read the story The Big Job on pg.10-11 in the letterbook and also the word list on the yellow sheet in the Friday folder. <IMG border=0 align=absMiddle src="/Controls/DHtmlEditor/Images/face23.gif"> Booklet titled An Ant Picnic Our next little story book came home. You know the drill! I'm seeing so much improvement in their reading skills. <IMG border=0 align=absMiddle src="/Controls/DHtmlEditor/Images/emthup.gif"> Picture Plea <IMG border=0 align=absMiddle src="/Controls/DHtmlEditor/Images/emphoto.gif"> If you have any pictures of field trips or events from the school year and would be willling to share them, I would greatly appreciate it.                 t  This year marks the 10th anniversary of Immanuel Lutheran School!
