K/1 PE is essentially focused around the following themes: 1. Self-Space and Personal Boundaries 2. Loco-motor skills-directions and signals 3. Chasing, Fleeing and Dodging 4. Food dribbling 5. Kicking 6. Balancing 7. Parachute 8. Jumping and landing 9. Balloons 10. Throwing 11. Hand dribbling 12. Transfer of Weight 13. Striking with Racquets 14. Nutrition 15. Cooperative Games 16. Yoga 17. Taekwondo (self defence) These skills are introduced through a variety of short activities and games. Students will touch on the essential principles of several organized sports; while the focus remains on developing their own body control and movement.
