2-5 PE is essentially focused around the following themes: 1. Individual basic motor skills (forward,backwards,sideways-fast,slow) 2. Throwing & Catching 3. Jump ropes & hoops 4. Yoga 5. Taekwondo (self defense) 6. Dance 7. Soccer 8. Basketball 9. Floor hokey 10. Field games 11. Parachute 12. Cooperative team games 13. Volleyball 14. Kickball 15. Baseball/softball 16. Flag football These skills are introduced through a variety of short activities and games. Students will learn the essential principles of several organized sports; while the focus remains on developing their own body control and movement. Organized sports are introduced through a variety of shortened activities with specific skill building purposes.
