My inspiration for teaching has developed from my mother and other teachers
who made learning interesting and enjoyable. The environment I provide in my
classroom is based on love and respect for each individual child and
promotes high expectations. My goal is to nurture student's innocence and
encourage their holistic development. I know I gain my biggest rewards by
making a difference in the lives of children. I am truly grateful.
As a teenager I started teaching dance to students ages four through twelve,
which gave me my first step into teaching. I have also run several child-
care sites for three YMCA's in Oregon and have coordinated and directed the
Grants Pass Family YMCA's day & resident camp program for many years. This
experience has been beneficial to me in pursuing a teaching career.
My own schooling experience could not have been better with a combination of
home-school and private school experience. I began my college career at
Rogue Community College and later attended Western Oregon University. There
I earned my Bachelor's in Education degree along with my Oregon State
Teaching License. I taught 6th grade and 6th-12th grade drama for two
years at Brighton Academy before returning to college. I earned my Master's
degree in Education from Southern Oregon University while substitute
teaching for two years in both the public and private schools.
I was married to Josh Rudzek in April of 2008. He is a realtor for Fairstone
Properties, a family owned business. We will be starting our own family soon
as we are expecting a baby this March.
This will be my eighth year of full-time teaching and I look forward to
working with the 4th/5th graders this year.
Mrs. Rudzek's Personal Teaching Mission:
My personal mission at Pacific Northwest Academy is to be an effective
instrument of God by honoring the giftedness in each child. In partnership
with parents, I provide a values-based approach to the education and
formation of young men and women. I am committed to creating a student-
centered educational setting with high expectations in the spiritual,
intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs of children. I recognize
gender differences in learning and teach to multiple intelligences by
visual, auditory, and kinesthetic methodologies. Within this safe and
nurturing learning environment, my mission culminates in guiding children
toward becoming citizens who will be a transforming influence in the world.
