I expect each and every band student to practice a minimum of 2 hours every
week. A great way of doing this is to practice 20 minutes a day, 6 days a
week. Concert Band and Intermediate Band students will not be required to
turn in a practice log at this time. Beginning Band student will be asked to
maintain a practice log in their Accent on Achievement book.
Every band student should be listening to professional musicians,
particularly those that play the same instrument as the student. I would
also recommend that students attend live performances. McMinnville is a
wonderful city that offers a wide variety of live performance offerings.
