2009-2010 Student School Supply List

Each Student attending SJS are asked to bring the following supplies
with them when they return to school September 8. 

All Students: Please label with the first and last name of the student

	One pair of white/black preferred slip on (ked-like) canvas shoe or
hard-sole plain slippers preferred 
	One box of #2 Ticonderoga pencils  (minimum of ten) (mechanical
pencil if desired)
	One box of blue or black pens (minimum of ten)
	One box of colored pencils (set of 12 is sufficient)
	One set of non-permanent markers
	4 packs of 3x5 index cards lined on one side plain on the other
	Two highlighters, different colors
	One ream of 8 ½ x 11 lined binder paper (college ruled)
	Year-long weekly planner (for keeping track of assignments). (These
will be available for purchase on registration day $5.50)
	One regular three-ring large notebook
	Dividers for your large binder (ones with pockets)
	One 3-inch hard cover binder for Japanese
	Large pink eraser or pencil tip erasers
	Graphing paper (.25 in. squares)
	Six Composition notebooks, full 8 ½ x 11 size, one subject
college-ruled preferred
	Backpack, not with wheels
	Plastic box with lid for storage, 15-18 quarts, or plastic drawer
(for student’s cubby)
	USB thumb drive portable storage device 
	Ruler (metric, straight-edge)
	Scissors (medium to large depending on comfort of use by student)
	Protractor

All Students: Do not label

	Two boxes of tissues (large boxes please)
	Low-odor white board markers, various colors (especially blue and black)
	One roll of clear scotch tape (regular office size)
	Two packages of glue sticks
	One ream of white copy paper
	If possible, one package origami paper

Will Be Needed During The School Year (not necessarily the first day)

	Math students below Algebra I, basic calculator 
	Math students Algebra I or above, scientific or graphing calculator
(TI-83 or TI-84)
	One presentation board for science and social studies (returning
students can reuse presentation board)
