AMBLER WEEKDAY NURSERY SCHOOL IS A MISSION OF THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
OF AMBLER.

This month each class will share in a real Thanksgiving feast with turkey and
stuffing and all the trimmings and learn about the first Thanksgiving with
the Pilgrims and Indians. The children will also study good nutrition
habits. The 3 and 5 day classes will participate in a “Nutrition” program
presented by a nutritionist from the Montgomery County Health Department.
Some of the classes will actually cook and make Indian cornbread,
butter, “stone soup,” and soft pretzels. The feasts are scheduled for
Friday, November 20 (Th/F Bears, Rainbow Fish); Tuesday, November 24 (M/T
Bears); and Wednesday, November 25 (Bees, Dinosaurs, and Turtles). School
pictures will also be taken this month and will be delivered in time for
Christmas.
In an effort to keep everyone healthy this winter, we would like to try to
keep sick siblings out of the building as much as possible. If one of your
children is home sick and needs to come along to preschool in the morning,
please call the church office (215-542-9993) and let us know. We will meet
you at the door or your car to greet the healthy preschooler and take him/her
up to class for you. You may also choose to send him/her up with another
parent if you prefer.
