For the protection of the other children and the staff, if your child is coughing or showing signs of illness, please keep them home. Your child will be sent home if she/he appears to have symptoms of illness during the school day. In such cases the child is isolated from the others, and a parent is contacted. If your child's runny nose and/or watery eyes are due to allergies, we will need a doctor's note verifying this diagnosis. Please notify the school office if your child contracts a contagious disease, so that we may inform the parents. All students will be excluded from school for any contagious disease or infection in accordance with the Board of Health Regulations. Such diseases include chicken pox, measles, German measles, mumps, conjunctivitis and pediculosis. Parents are asked to keep their children home from school for the following symptoms: 1. Fever in the last 24 hours 2. Vomiting and/or diarrhea within the last 24 hours 3. Any symptoms of childhood diseases 4. Runny nose with any colored discharge 5. Sore throat 6. Unexplained rash 7. Skin infection 8. Pink eye or other eye infection In case of accidental injury we will make an immediate attempt to call a parent. If we cannot reach you, we will call the child's doctor and proceed with whatever care is necessary. Please keep the school up to date on phone numbers, emergency numbers, and other pertinent health information. Allergies should be listed on your child's health record. *********In an effort to keep everyone healthy this winter, we would like to try to keep sick siblings out of the building as much as possible. If one of your children is home sick and needs to come along to preschool in the morning, please call the church office (215-542-9993) and let us know. We will meet you at the door or your car to greet the healthy preschooler and take him/her up to class for you. You may also choose to send him/her up with another parent if you prefer.
