Message from the Principal
Week of November 2, 2009
* Please scroll down the entire "Message from the Principal" in case there are changes from week to week. Some things are on here for a couple of weeks as reminders to everyone. It's a good idea to mark this site as a favorite, and make it a priority to check it weekly at the very least.
PLEASE CHECK THE "WEEKLY COMMUNICATION ENVELOPE" LINK, THE "FORMS" LINK, AND THE "CALENDAR" ON THIS HOMEPAGE WEEKLY!
ANNUNCIATION B.V.M. SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE! It's almost time for our THIRD ANNUAL ABVM TURKEY TROT on Saturday November 28. We want to see YOU, YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, and NEIGHBORS - rain or shine! Registration begins at 8:00am and the race/walk will begin at 9:00am. Let's walk off that wonderful Thanksgiving dinner that will then be but a great memory!
- Prendie Presents Archbishop Prendergast presents High School Musical on stage in Prendie's Auditorium November 13, 14, 20 and 21st at 7:30Pm and on November 15th and 22nd at 2PM. For Ticket information, call 610-259-0280 Ext. 1312.
Thank you! -Thank you so much to the Giordano and Rafter Families for purchasing a photo scanner for the Computer Lab. We are so grateful!
- Our All School Military Tribute will be on Thursday, November 19 @ 7:00pm in the Church Hall. All students in grades K-8 will be participating. There will be no performance on Friday, November 20.
American Math Challenge - All 5th through 8th grade students will be competing in the online Mathletics challenge November 2nd –16th. Students will receive their usernames and passwords during math class on Monday, November 2nd. They will also have a chance to practice on Monday. Students will be able to earn points, but the points will not register online until November 9th. Annunciation students are competing against other students throughout the nation. The beautiful part of this competition is the fact that the teachers can set each classroom up with the curriculum on which she wants her students to focus. The children will be working on the problems at home also. Our goal is for each student to reach a minimum of 1000 points. Good luck Annunciation BVM School!!
EXTRA HALLOWEEN CANDY We are collecting extra Halloween candy again this year. The candy is used at the food shelter after a meal is provided. If you would like to donate you extra candy, please put it in the box outside the school office. Thanks for your support!
- Baby Sitter's List anyone interested in a copy of the baby sitter's list, please contact Mrs. Corlies for a copy. Thank you!
