CATHOLIC SCHOOLS: A LIGHT FOR EVERY GENERATION AND WE ARE THE ONES TO KEEP THIS FLAME BURNING IN OUR TIME AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS!June, 2012Dear Parents,For the past 84 years Annunciation B.V.M. School has educated generations of children in the Mercy traditions of compassion, hospitality and service. On June 29, 2012, our school at this site will no longer provide a full time Catholic Education for our families. On July 1, 2012, Cardinal John Foley Regional Catholic School will be our school supported by Annunciation B.V.M. and St. Denis parishioners.Over the past two years our parish community has supported the school efforts in prayer and in finances. We have shared with you the many program and building upgrades that have taken place over the past few years. Our students were provided the best religious and academic programs because of your sacrifices and support. Our final school liturgy will be held on Friday, June 15 at 8:30 AM. Student awards and teacher recognition will be held after Mass. A final all school “clap-out” will follow and lead the students, families and parishioners to the church hall for light refreshments. We hope you will join us for this final farewell. On behalf of our students, faculty and staff we would like to thank you for all that you have done in the name of Catholic Education. Catholic Education was built on the sacrifices of those who have gone before us, it continues because of those who are with us and the future depends on those ahead of us. Let us continue to pray and support our parish school as we move to merge two communities, to a new site and to a new name. May all our efforts build a foundation to continue Catholic Education in the Mercy charism in Havertown. Sincere thanks,Sincerely,Mrs. Mary Ann De AngeloPrincipalMrs. Cathleen LambertoAssistant Principal
