ANNUNCIATION B.V.M. SCHOOL HAPPENINGS:
- May the joy of our Carol Night still be with you as we begin the New Year of 2010! The evening was a wonderful gift by our children to the Christ Child. Our band students also gave a lively concert that contributed to the holiday spirit at Annunciation B.V.M. School! - The PA Department of Health is doing follow-up vaccinations this weekend (Jan.8/Jan. 9) at Widener University. You can register at www.h1n1inpa.com. - Our A.B.V.M.School Brownies and Girls Scouts collected over 300 hats, scarves, gloves/mittens for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Your help in this endeavor will keep many of the less fortunate among us warm this winter. - Thank you for the your generous donations to help those among us at Christmas who were in need. - Mercy Court is now known as Grace Court. Our 7th and 8th grade Mercy Ministers visit the elderly there. They will be going on Tuesday, January 12 from 3:30pm-4:30pm. - This month's Special Lunch will be on Wednesday January 20. The choices are Cheese Steak or Grilled Cheese. You may download the form on the "Weekly Communication Envelope" link. Form and money are due on Friday, January 15. - The Pancake Breakfast, our eighth grade fundraiser, will be on Sunday, February 7. Mark your calenders - please don't miss it! - Parents we would love for you to share your expertise in any area with our students, whether it would be during a class or an after school club. We look forward to your help and time! It could be for any grade from Pre-K 3 through Grade 8.
INCLEMENT WEATHER INSTRUCTIONS - The Annunciation B.V.M. School closing/delayed opening information will be posted on this website at the top of this page. - We usually follow Haverford School District #455 if school is closed or there is a one or two hour delayed opening. Please check the Haverford School District Education Channel on TV or the Haverford School District website. - Our school closing #487 or name will also be listed on KYW TV, Radio, and kyw.com, and 6abc TV and 6abc.com. - There will be no phone chain.
SCRIP ORDER FORM The Scrip Order Form is on this website under "Forms." The Scrip Order forms are due every Friday. Scrip will be returned to your child on Tuesday.
BLOCS TUITION GRANTS/EITC TAX REIMBURSEMNET The application for tuition assistance will be available on the BLOCS website, www.blocs.org as well as the Catholic Schools site, www.catholicschools-phl.org in early January. The deadline is Thursday, April 15, 2010. I also have forms if you know of any businesses that would like to part of the EITC tax reimbursement grants. Should you have any questions, please call BLOCS at 215-587-0590.
