AWHS SUMMER READING 2009 -- For those choosing the test option
Tests on the summer reading begin on Nov. 17. The delay was
caused by the impasse of the budget in Harrisburg which held up
the Act 90 orders for our school. Students are coming to the
library with their math teacher. The test consists of 10
randomly selected questions and students must get 7 of the 10
questions correct to pass the test. If a student fails on the
first attempt, he or she may come back one more time to try to
test on that book again. If a student fails the second attempt,
they must choose another book from the reading list and pass the
test on the new selection. Additional tests will have to be
taken on the student's own time -- usually during lunch periods.
To see when you are scheduled to take the test, consult the
Special Events Icon. Any senior who is not currently enrolled in
a math class must come during their lunch period to take the test.
