Mission Statement

Archbishop Wood High School Library is committed to teach information 
literacy, provide curriculum consultation, encourage life long learning, and 
foster an appreciation of reading.

Learning Goals

•Students will develop the ability to locate materials.

•Students will develop the ability to multi-task on the computer.

•Students will learn that mass printing from web sites is not necessary.

•Students will develop the ability to review and evaluate media for 
information needed.

•Students will develop the ability to retrieve and manage information in a 
variety of formats.

•Students will develop an appreciation of books and other media as sources of 
information and recreation.

•Students will develop a knowledge of standard forms of bibliographic 
citation, copyright issues and plagiarism.

•Students will continue to find a source of assistance in software 
applications.

•Students will continue to find a quiet place to study during their hectic 
day.

•Students will develop an excitement and love of reading through 
participation in the Reading Olympics.
