Greetings!
It feels like spring on some days but unfortunately "Phil" saw his shadow
which means 6 more weeks of winter. Don't worry, spring will be here sooner
than you think!
Math- Fractions, fractions, fractions!!! Be patient with these. Students
seem to need extra practice with this unit.
Science- We have finished Magnetism and Electricity and will do a short unit
on Native Americans.
Writing- We are writing friendly letters to our new President and his family
as well as a letter to inform our author Jean Craighead George on what we
have learned from reading her books.
Reading- Inventors are interesting people. While celebrating Black History
Month, we are studying African-American inventors. Hopefully you are
discussing the book your child has chosen every night.
Please remember to encourage reading every night. I have seen tremendous
improvementsin their comprehension skills. Thank you for your support, it
shows in your child's work.
