Your child will have homework every night except Friday. All homework is to
be written down by each student in their Agenda book (provided by the
school). When the homework is completed, parents are asked to sign or
initial the Agenda book. The Agenda book is an excellent vehicle for
communication between the teacher and parent! If you want to make comments,
please feel free to write them in their book.
Students are responsible for returning the homework and Agenda book to class
everyday.

The District Policy for homework: 40 min. for 4th grade
This is a general guideline:
Reading- 20-30 min.
Spelling- spelling activities nightly
* Please remember to sign their test on Monday and send it back Tues.
Grammar- assigned as needed
Math- practice page or textbook page of skills taught, practice math facts
nightly
I encourage them to bring home flash cards for troublesome facts and
a mad minute for them to practice (2 minutes for 100 problems).
Social Studies/Science- assigned as needed
I encourage my students to have a study buddy. A study buddy can be called
if there is any confusion about the homework.
