Mrs. Duggan: I am very happy to say that I will be entering my fifth year
teaching third grade at AGI! I have a dual-undergraduate degree in Early
Childhood Education and Elementary Education from West Chester University,
as well as my Master's Degree in Elementary Education, also from West
Chester. I value my family and my health. In my down time, I love to watch
a good football game (especially if it involves one of my fantasy football
players), cook or play with my baby!
Miss DiSciullo: In 2002 I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary
Education with a concentration in Math and Science from Penn State
University. I'm a huge Penn State football fan. Go Lions! I am currently
working towards my Master's Degree in Literacy at West Chester University.
This school year is my fifth year teaching third grade here at AGI. In
my spare time, I enjoy shopping, reading, scrapbooking, playing softball,
and spending time with friends and family.
Miss Delozier: I am rested, refreshed, and ready to have some fun in my
third year teaching third grade at Avon Grove Intermediate! Prior to
teaching here, I taught fourth and second grade in Chichester School
District. In 2004, I recieved my bachelor's degree from Millersville
University and am currently working towards my master's degree as a reading
specialist at West Chester University. I recently moved to the West Chester
area, however grew up in Media, Pa. On my free time, I enjoy traveling
(anywhere and everywhere!), being with my family and friends (it doesn't
matter what we do), hiking, and eating (I love dining at all different
restaurants)!
Miss Meconi: I am delighted to be back for my second year teaching third
grade in the blue schoolhouse. In 2006 I graduated from the University of
Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Prior to
teaching third grade, I was a fifth grade teacher in the Purple
schoolhouse. When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, walking, watching
football, and spending time with my friends and family.
We all share the philosophy that learning should be hands on and
enjoyed by our students! Therefore, we consistently strive to provide
engaging and fun activities in our classrooms. We also value
reading, both in school and at home, and promote that reading activities
should be done collaboratively with family members. This allows a better
partnership for learning and a strong foundation to watch a child's
progress.
We stand behind the philosophy that our students are not going to
succeed unless they know that they have an interested support system, along
with a lot of fun at school!
