Bermudian Springs School District. He has served 22 of those
years on the sixth grade team. He graduated from New Oxford High
School in 1984 and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary
Education in 1988 from Millersville University. In 1993 he earned his
Master's Degree in Athletic Administration at Western Maryland
College. Mr. Robinson has also served the district as an assistant
football and basketball coach. Currently he resides in New Oxford with his
wife, Kim (who teaches art in the high school here at Bermudian) and his
daughter, Breanne (who is a sophomore at South Carolina University). His
spare time is filled with reading, running and enjoying precious moments with
his family.
The goal of the social studies department is to
heighten the curiosity of each individual student about the
different places and cultures that exist in the world.
The sixth grade course focuses on the regions of Canada and Latin
America. Through a variety of methods and techniques, each student will gain
a better understanding of the places and people that make up these parts of
the Western Hemisphere.
The 8th grade U.S. History course focuses on the late 18th century thru
the early 20th century. The objective is to enhance each student's skills as
an independent learner by conducting investigations and drawing their own
conclusions.
