The library is located on the second floor of the school building and is
open from 7:30 AM to 3:10 PM every school day with exceptions for a short
schedule Thursdays with an Academic Board meeting or department meetings. In
case of a scheduled meeting, the library closes ten minutes after the end of
the schoolday.
Books are on loan for a three-week period.
Students are responsible for and must pay for lost or damaged books.
A student who wishes to use the library follows these procedures:
Arrangements must be made with the librarian if the student wishes to use
the facility before 7:45 AM.
During study periods, students wishing to use the library must sign up in
the library. Students report directly to the library as they would to
class. Students must sign both roll slip and binder. Roll is taken in
the library and the roll slip is sent to the study hall moderator. Students
who do not follow this procedure will be considered cutting class or truant.
Students must remain in the library for the entire period.
If a student does not have a study, arrangements can be made with the
librarian to have access to the library.
Additional information concerning other procedures for library use is
available in the library.Passwords to licensed databases are available from
the librarian.
Library usage is a privilege that may be removed if the student does not
comply with proper behavior. The library is to be used for research, reading,
or homework. Chatting is not allowed. Courtesy is expected. Misbehavior
will get one warning, and after that, it is back to study for a minimum of
two weeks, with the appropriate demerits/detentions.
The librarian will rotate her lunch period so that each study/period has a
chance to use the library.
The schedule will normally be:
4th Lunch=closed at 4th period for Days #1,2,3. Open for Days #4,5,6.
Closed at #5, until further notice, since I teach a class at that period.
6th period Lunch=closed at 6th period for Days #4,5,6.Open for Days #1,2,3.
Exceptions may be made if requested.
