All work being completed in the Creative Writing Class will be graded according to a rubric shared between their ELA Teacher and Mrs. Iezzi being accessed for grammar and spelling as well as technique and following the writing process. The Creative Writing Class correlates with the writing lesson their ELA teacher will be instructing at the same time they are involved in their Creative Writing Class. The students will continue along with their classroom activities and follow teacher instruction for ELA during the other days when they are not attending the Creative Writing Class. There may be assignments given to them to be completed for the Creative Writing Class and these assignments should receive the same attention and consideration as their other homework. The objective of the class is to motivate and inspire the students to strengthen their writing abilities by exposing them to various writing styles and elements of writing in a creative and challenging environment allowing them to express themselves in literary format.
