BTC News for the Week of May 20th

The remaining two months of the year calendar have been updated and is now posted on the website. Once you have the website open look for the link on the left.

Thanks to all who helped plan the Ice Cream Social on Friday Night at Manderach Park. Special thanks to Home & School helpers especially Mrs. Boudman and her elves.

Box Tops for Education Winners Update – Last Saturday night RJ Schellinger, his Grandmom, and Mrs. Merritt enjoyed their Pizza, Popcorn, M&Ms and a Movie Night. Mom and Dad went out for a quick bite and then came back to watch the end of the movie with us! Great time had by all 

5th Grade Parents – please return the permission slip by Tuesday May 21st for the Growth and Development Talk by our school nurse Mrs. Dolente scheduled for this Wednesday.

End of Year Reminders –
• Students are to be dressed in regulation school uniforms. Sneakers are only permitted on gym days with the gym uniform. Light coats or hoodies are not to be worn throughout the school day when in class. Your support is appreciated.
• More students than ever seem to be bringing cell phones (electronic devices) to school. We are not endorsing this but will allow these devices under the following conditions: all cell phones are to be kept in the student’s locker or teacher’s desk throughout the day. Should you need your child in an emergency our Administrative team at 610-287-2500 will assist with this. If a cell phone (electronic device) is found in a location other than stated above during the school day, it will be turned in to the Administrative offices. Any confiscated devices will be securely kept until picked up by a parent. Discipline measures may also be taken against the student for disobedience to school policy. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
• Incomplete Homework and Spring Fever has reared itself at BTC. We realize with the nicer weather that many of us are staying outside later than usual these days. Please help us to help your child, by making sure completing homework is a priority. Several students are using the excuses of “I had a baseball game and didn’t have time” or “I was just too tired after playing outside”. Also remember that even though we may be up later, the start time to school has not changed. Your child is missing valuable instruction time if they are not present in homeroom by 7:50am. Thanks for your understanding.
