I am a 1995 graduate of Bradford Area High School. Had anyone had asked me
then if I would consider working here, I am quite sure I would have
screamed "NO WAY!!!" I went through some typical and some not so typical
struggles throughout my high school career. I moved to Utah and traveled
around while working and studying to some very beautiful areas in the U.S.A.
In the end though, I absolutely love this area and my job. I truly enjoy
working with high school students and being a stop on their road to becoming
fully functioning adults.
I studied at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for my undergraduate
degree in Human Relations. I spent some of this time also at the University
of Pittsburgh. I then completed my Master's degree in School Counseling at
St. Bonaventure University. I was first employed in a High School in Ogden,
Utah. My experience there helped me to understand comprehensive school
counseling programs as they are state mandates there. While Pennsylvania is
behind in this area, I am taking the mandates I found very appropriate from
my experience in Utah and not only applying but expanding upon them here.
The mission of Bradford Area High School's Guidance Department is to serve as
student advocates above all else.
