Can I have a pencil?

No.  You may occasionally borrow a pencil, but please ask before 
class starts and don't ask two days in a row.

What can I do to get my grade up?

Do what you were supposed to do the first time.  Check our 
classroom expectations.  Ask me for help, and we can schedule 
some 
time together.

Most days before and after school, period 7, before homeroom, and 
lunch.
