Private Music Lessons

Students enrolled in private lessons outside of school with another instructor are not required to take lessons during school; however, lessons during the school day are encouraged. At the beginning of the school year, these students are asked to complete the form below and place it in the Music Department mailbox. Should a student enroll in private lessons during the course of the school year, this form may be completed and submitted at any time. A list of available private instructors is available upon request.

Once the form has been submitted, the student will be given a lesson packet. This will include a chart to keep track of lessons and pass-offs, a pass-off grading rubric, and all required scales/exercises. To ensure accurate records, private instructors are asked to date and initial the packet at each lesson. The student should then place their packet in the Music Department mailbox to be recorded. The packet will be promptly returned to the student.
