The Indoor Drum Line finished their 2008 season
strong with two GREAT performances in Wildwood NJ at the All Chapter
Championships this weekend. The main objective for the weekend was to qualify
for Finals, something the group hasn’t done in a few seasons. There were a
total of 21 drum lines competing for just 11 spots in finals. At Thursday’s
prelim performance the line overcame some technical difficulties in the
beginning of their show to manage a tie for the final transfer spot into
Saturday evening’s finals competition...their objective was met! Their final
competitive performance Saturday night was something very special, and while
they didn’t move up in placement...just being a part of the show Saturday was
a GREAT accomplishment!
All in all the line finished 12th
out of 36 other Scholastic Novice lines that competed in various competitions
throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey this season, something they should all
be very proud of...I know I am.
Congratulations to the following
members of the 2008 Indoor Drum Line:
Derek Boyer, Brooke Coco, Liz
Dietrich, Nick Marakovitz, Katie Meck, Sami Meck, Malorie Moyer, Ben Rupert,
Emily Rupert, Anton Siekmann, Elizabeth Snook, Perri Snook, Andrew Souders and
Phil Weymouth.
Thanks to everyone that supported
the program throughout the season!
Sincerely,
Bill Snook
