November 9,10,11,12-2009
Parents,
We are sending this newsletter to you today because Mrs. Snitger will be away this week-end and won’t be home until late Sunday evening. We wanted you to know what is happening in Room 12 next week.
First, we would like to thank Mrs. Facius for generously offering to cut out our Native American vests for us, they are all ready for us just waiting to be painted. You are just the greatest group of parentsJ We will begin working on our Thanksgiving Feast costumes this coming week. We will paint and decorate our vests and cut out our feathers for our headbands. We will also choose a Native American name to wear on our headbands. You will not see many crafts coming home these next few weeks as we prepare for our Feast. The Thanksgiving Feast is a very special time for all of us. The 3 four year old classes come together and share all the good food you provide for them. The children are dressed as a Native American or a Pilgrim. It is a wonderful morning of celebrating what Thanksgiving is all about. As a reminder, the Feast helpers are: Mrs. Freundel, Mrs. Sayad, Ms. Sommers and Mrs. Tandir. If there are any changes in this, please let us know. Thank you.
We are now using our weekly schedule of specific activities on certain days of the week. Monday is “Games and Exercise”,Tuesday is “Science Day”, Wednesday is “Story and Sign Language” and Thursday is “Team Day” and “Show and Tell”.
These activities will be subject to change depending on our other plans for the day. The children will have plenty of time for Free Play each day, a very important time for all of them.
Our “Show and Tellers” this week will be Carsyn and Annalyn. Just to let you know, Mrs. Thompson will be in for Mrs. Snitger on Monday. We hope you all have a wonderful week-end and week ahead.
