November Newsletter
Dear Parents,
We are having a lot of fun with all our Halloween activities so far
this month! A thank-you goes to Henry’s mother by providing and helping us to
make our fireman treat. Thank-you also to Brendan’s mom for helping us carve
our jack-o-lantern! All of the children had a chance to help scoop the seeds
out from inside the pumpkin. Next week we plan to taste the roasted seeds
and plant them in dirt. The children will be excited when the seeds begin to
sprout because they really grow fast!
Don’t for get to dress your child next Tue. 27th for the parade
beginning at 9:20 am. Please allow enough time in the morning before school
to help your child prepare for the day. Getting in to their costume and
feeling good about their special outfit is important and can be stressful if
they are hurried. Please remember - no mask- for safety in navigating the
stairs and sidewalks.
Please stand outside along the sidewalk and we will walk out the door
and down around the front of the school. After the parade you may come in to
take a few quick photos of the kids and help your child change back into
their regular clothing. If you can’t be here we will help your child take off
their costume.

Looking ahead now to November

Please check our November snack calendar we plan to have a special
vegetable snack. Someone please sign up for this) Thank-you!
We plan to read a cute story about “Little Pea” and the importance of eating
well. We hope this will help the children get back on track after eating
Halloween goodies.
-- Mon Nov 2nd please have your child bring in a few magazine pictures of
different kinds of vegetables.
-- Tuesday Nov 3rd – No school Election Day
---Tuesday Nov 24th Thanksgiving Feast. Please look for the signup sheet
located outside our door. I’d like each child to sign up for one item to
share with the class that day. During November we are learning about manners
and the Feast will focus on sharing as well as the meaning of the First
Thanksgiving. We plan to make turkey feather hats, necklaces and placemats
that we will use during our feast.
This month we will be listening to books on ”good manners” and the story
topics will include; sharing, taking turns, raising our hands to speak, and
how to be kind and keep our germs away form others. We will play Simon
says and other games that include following directions.

--Mon Nov 30th no school Thanksgiving Vacation
We want to thank-you in advance for helping to make this month special by
