Evaluation small medium large How will your group be scored in this assignment? You will receive one total grade based upon both your individual and group efforts based on the following criteria: 1.) Research Assistant Tables (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the tables must be neat, accurately and completely labeled, and must contain all correct information. 2.) Research Assistant Bar Graphs (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the bar graphs must be neat, clearly and completely labeled, and must accurately reflect the data that is contained in the tables. 3.) Statistician Scatterplots (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the scatterplots must be accurate, neatly labeled, shown in an appropriate viewing window, accurately reflect the data from the Research Assistant Tables, and must have the regression line graphed in the same viewing window. 4.) Statistician Regression Lines and Correlation Coefficients (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the regression lines must be written in slope-intercept form, must be clearly and accurately labeled as far as which equation matches which situation and also as far as which variable is which, and must also be accompanied by the correlation coefficient. 5.) Analyst Original Thoughts on Obesity Paragraph (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the Analyst must identify at least 3 societal changes that they believe have led to an increase in obesity in the United States, they must also elaborate on what exactly these reasons are and why they believe they are associated with the rise in obesity. 6.) Analyst Report on 5 Different Societal Changes That Cause Obesity From Research (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the Analyst must identify and fully explain 5 different changes in society that have led to the obesity problem based on the available research. 7.) Analyst Plan to Attack the Obesity Problem (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the Analyst must synthesize their own thoughts, the thoughts that they gathered from their research, and the Statistician's regressional model analysis into one clear, cohesive plan to combat obesity. 8.) Written Responses to Conclusion Questions (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit , the group must exhibit an understanding of the factors that they developed in their research, and they must also identify at least one characteristic that did not appear in their research and explain why they think that characteristic impacts obesity. 9.) Calculations Based on Your Regression Model (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the group must find the correct predictions for all of the proposed situations based on the linear regression models developed by the Statistician. 10.) Identification of Predictions as Interpolation/Extrapolation and Commentary (10 Points) To receive the highest possible credit, the group must correctly identify each prediction as an interpolation or extrapolation, and must write a clear commentary about whether or not each individual prediction is worthwhile based on both its accuracy and its status as an interpolation/extrpolation.
