KINDERGARTEN NEWS
Dear Parents, December 2009
Our Program is Thursday December 10th at Immaculate Conception Church at 7:00
P.M. The kindergarten will act out the Christmas Story. They will play the
parts of Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels, kings, and the star. I will be
sending a costume home soon for Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels, kings, and
the star. Please press or launder them if necessary. Your child should come to
church in costume the night of the play. Small props like staffs, gifts,
halos, and the star, will be at the church the night of the play. Please be in
church by 6:45, keep your child’s coat, and send him/her to me. After the
program I will collect all costumes and props.
This month we will continue to review Ii, Aa, Ss, Mm, Nn, Dd, study Tt, Cc,
Ff, Oo, and words we, are, you, and have in Language Arts; money, fractions,
patterns, addition and take-a-ways in Math; and in Religion, advent,
Christmas, and friendship.
Now that the colder weather is here, (for sure) children need to have a hat
or ear muffs in order to go out for recess. A coloring book or activity book
is suggested for inclement days. We will go out at temperatures 40 and above.
Snack money for December will be $4.00.
Our Christmas party will be the 23rd at 2:00 P.M... We do not have a gift
exchange.
Please return your family envelope. Resting towels will be sent home again on
Dec. 22nd December is a short month. I highly suggest all Book-its be complete
by the 18th. Only one story will be required this month.
Thank you for your help and cooperation in your child's schoolwork. You have
great children. They are truly blessed, and I too rejoice in your blessings.
Thank you! If you have questions, call the office, and I will return your
call. Have a very blessed Christmas and a Happy new year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Colvin
