FIRST GRADE and SECOND GRADE

SCIENCE AND HEALTH:

There will be occasional homework. If a student does not complete an in class assignment, he will take it home for homework. Parents, please sign all tests and return to school. Students are graded on tests, class participation, and homework.

THIRD GRADE

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Students will be required to do oral reading at home, at least five pages a week, from appropriate material. This can be books on their reading level, magazines, newspapers, etc. There will be a form to sign and return each week to document their reading. Book reports to accompany the “Book-It” program from Pizza Hut will be part of their Language Arts. Spelling tests will be on Friday unless scheduling problems occur with snow days, etc.

SCIENCE:

Students will have a composition notebook book. They should use this, any worksheets, and their book in studying for tests.
