Hello! My name is Melissa Chrusch and I am very excited to be the Elementary
Librarian for both Elementary Schools. I am originally from Jermyn
Pa and graduated from Lakeland High School. I attended York College where I
received my BA in English/Writing. I answered the famous question of "What do
you with an English Degree" by heading up to blustery Albany New York where I
took the bus all around the city to earn my Masters of Science in Information
Systems/School Library Concentration.
I headed back south with my NY and PA Library K-12 Teaching Certificates
taking a job near Binghamton, New York. Two years later I relocated once more
to Dallas and I am very excited to be here! I recently started work towards a
Masters Degree from Wilkes University in Instructional Media. The Program is
run through Discovery School. Most of my free time is dedicated to that
coursework where I am learning how to create digital media and finding many
great resources to use in my library instruction. I live in Dallas with my cow
cat Sadie, and many bookshelves.
Lois Noble works as the Library Assistant for both Dallas
Elementary and Wycallis Elementary. Mrs. Noble earned a B.S. in Liberal
Studies from Misericordia University and worked as aide at the Montessori
school in Kingston. She was an aide at the Dallas High School for three
years. Among Lois's hobbies are gardening and quilting. She has three grown
children and resides with her husband in Dallas.
Ms. Chrusch rotates elementary schools weekly. While Ms. Chrusch is at
your child's school, the alternate building will enjoy a Story Time and book
check out with Mrs. Nobel
We are committed to helping our students become effective users of ideas and
information. We strive to instill a love of reading and literature in the
hope that our students will become independent learners and life-long
readers.
