Near Mitchell Pass at Scotts Bluff, we hiked about 1/2 mile of the actual wagon road on the Oregon Trail Pathway.
The summit of Scotts Bluff is about 800 feet above the North Platte River, with an elevation of 4,659 feet (1,420 meters).
