* Your child is to learn all of the real words to the Star Spangled Banner.
They will have to sing or recite the words to me by Dec. 21.
* Our American Education Day for Third Grade is from 11:10-12:00 on Tuesday,
November 17. All are welcome. We will be playing a review jeopardy game to
show you some skills that we have learned so far, and in a fun way:) We will
also be singing a few educational songs for you too. :)
* Parent/Teacher Night is on Wednesday, November 11.
* Our class president this year is Megan, Vice-President is Michael,
Secretary is Sara, and Judge is Evan.
*Our swim class starts on Tuesday, November, 3.
* Our Halloween Parade is on Friday, Oct. 30. It is also an Act 80 Day.
*November Book Report is due on November 16. The assignment was given out on
Oct. 21. It has to be a chapter book that has atleast 75 pages. The first
page is the cover page. It should have your name, teacher's name, date,
title (underlined) and author. And also decorate the cover showing any scene
from the story. 2nd page is your story map that I handed out (which contains
the setting, characters, plot (problem), solution, and ending). The 3rd page
you have to write a short summary explaining the beginning, middle, and end
of story.
* October Book Report is due on Oct. 2. It has to be any chapter book. They
are to write their name, date, title of book, author, characters, Write at
least 5 sentences to sumamrize your book, write if you liked the book and why
or why not, and have a parent signature.
* State Posters*
Assigned on Sept. 21. We have been working on our research for our state
research posters for the past week. We will continue to go to the lab until
the day it is due. They are Due Oct. 13.
