About The Teacher

My Email: rpalfey@dallassd.com

Here is a little about me. In the top picture is myself and my loving yellow
lab, Sully. In the picture below are my two other dogs. The one on the
left is Ginger. She is part Golden Retriever/part Collie. The one on the
right is Angel. She is a Golden Retriever.
I am an alumni of Hanover Area Jr./Sr. High School and Penn State
University. In college I played volleyball for the Penn Sate Wilkes-Barre
Campus and then when I went to University Park (Penn State Main Campus), I
tried out and made the Penn State Blue Band. They travel with the football
team. I have been playing the trumpet basically since I was 5 years old
and picked up my brother's trumpet. I taught fourth and fifth grade in
Warsaw, Virginia for two years. I also coached Jr. High Volleyball and
Softball there. I then moved back home and taught first grade at Dallas
Elementary School. The following year I moved up and taught 2nd grade
here. This is my sixth year teaching third grade here. For the past eight
years I have been the head volleyball coach at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre
Campus. My team just recently became the Northeastern CCAC Champions. The
past seven years I have been the Middle School Assistant Softball
Coach. Since I was a junior in high school, I have been giving trumpet
lessons on the side. I also recently received my Master's Degree at Wilkes
University.

Mission For The Class

My goal is to accept each child as an important individual and to
produce the best education possible for him or her.

A good education involves everyone...parents, students, and teachers.
