Our class representatives wanted to open their hearts and help those in need for the month of February. They held a Food Drive from Feb. 6 until Feb. 24 for the Back Mountain Food Pantry. Many faculty, staff, and students helped make this a very successful drive. If you would like to donate food items: Call the office, contact the director or send an e-mail to: bmfoodpantry@gmail.com . Third grade students have been given a yellow planner (assignment book) to use each and every day. The children are given time at the end of each school day in which to write down their assignments which are posted on our classroom homework board. The planner is your key to knowing everything that is going on in our room! Some other things included in the homework planner are book report due dates, upcoming tests, future activities, book order due dates and much more! I ask parents to sign the students' planners nightly to ensure the completion of assignments! For the first 2 months of school I will check each student's planner daily to make sure it's being used properly and successfully. After each student has mastered the correct use of the planner, I'll still ask parents to sign it nightly. Thank you for taking the time to work with your child and me. They held a Toy Drive from Dec. 1 until Dec. 15 for Toys for Tots. On Dec. 15, two men from the U.S. Marine Corps came to their classroom to collect, then deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. ****Note: Make sure you click the refresh icon for the latest assignments!
