How is the Math graded?

Students earn one of three letters to show their acheivement.
An "S" stands
for secure. A child at the secure level is expected to quickly
and
consistently show a high level of ability with a concept or
skill, without
requiring help. A "D" stands for developing. A student at the
developing
level is expected to show a growing understanding of a concept or
skill;
however understandably, some teacher help may be required. A "B"
stands for
beginning. A student at the beginning level does not yet have a
deep level
of understanding of a skill or concept because it has just
recently been
introduced. Each skill has a designated level of achievement.
