ALWAYS GIVE YOUR PERSONAL BEST EFFORT!!!

We are all smart in different ways...no two people are the same.  No matter 
what your task, have confidence in yourself and give it your all!  If you 
always give your personal best effort, you can never be disappointed!  :)

Here are some ways you can give your Personal Best Effort:

Use the following checklist when you are ready to turn in a project 
or homework assignment.  Ask yourself, did I...
 
      put my name on my paper?  
      follow all directions?  
      work neatly?  
      answer all of the questions and complete all of the tasks?  
      use proper capitalization and punctuation?  
      spell words correctly?  
      write complete sentences?  
      put it in a folder to be taken to school?  
      DO MY VERY BEST?

Use good study habits, such as the following:

1.  Write your assignments in your Student Assignment Planner.

2.  Plan a regular study time for each day.

3.  Find a comfortable and quiet study place.

4.  Make sure that any background noise is not distracting.

5.  Keep all tools and materials in your workplace.

6.  Make sure you have plenty of light.

7.  Take careful notes on information you read.

8.  Ask a family member to review your work.

9.  Correct mistakes and rewrite for neatness.

10.  Keep finished work in a safe place.
