The Dallas FBLA Officers for the 2009-2010 school year are: Rachael Alles,
President; Tony LaFratte, Vice President; Shannon Brobst, Secretary; Sam
Savoy, Treasurer. We look forward to a great year!
This year's national theme is "Simply the Best."
We welcome new members to the Future Business Leaders of America, a club
dedicated to students interested in pursuing careers in the business world
or just exploring more about business and its related fields. We meet
weekly during school and attend several out of school functions during the
school year.
Dues are $12.00 ($6.00 for state dues and $6.00 national dues)and are
payable to Dallas FBLA and are payable immediately.
The Regional Leadership Workshop will be held November 18 at Meyers High
School. Cost is $10. Bus transportation and meal will be provided. Students
interested in attending must have their dues paid and permission slips signed
and returned.
Fund raising materials have been distributed. Please see Mrs. Yourechko if
you have any questions.
The Regional Leadership Conference will be held at LCCC in December or
January. More information as it becomes available.
The 2009 State Leadership Conference was held March 30-April 1.
Congratulations to last years winners: Emily Churchfield, Carolyn Suhocki,
Alyssa Dolman, Aaron Butler, AJ Thomas, Derek Martin, Jake Simon, Joey
Evans,Andrew Nakkache, Brian Wise, Kelsey Cooper, Shannon Brobst, Sam Savoy,
Drew Clouse, Preston Balavage (Region 16 President) and Bryan Darling (Dallas
Chapter President)who represented Dallas at the SLC.
Preston Balavage, AJ Thomas, Derek Martin, Drew Clouse and Bryan Darling were
repeat attendees to the SLC with Bryan Darling having qualified and attended
the State Leadership four years.
Our Advisors are Ms. Diana Alichnie, Mrs. Alliston Yourechko, Mr. William
Balavage, Mrs. Andrea Balavage and Mrs. Linda Shrader. Meetings are held
Tuesdays in Room 25.
