Lois Redmond attended Gettysburg College with a Jr. Year Abroad at the
University of Madrid, Spain and received a BA in Spanish with teacher
certification in Spanish K-12. After serving in the Peace Corps in the
Dominican Republic, she completed her Masters degree in Psychology at
Bucknell University.
Lois Redmond has taught in the Dallas School District for 16 years and
before that taught Spanish as well as English as a Second Language for
Wilkes University. She has four children who all attended Dallas Schools
and lives with her husband, two cats, two parrots, and
miscellaneous other "guests" in Shavertown.
It is my hope that the Spanish classroom will be a place where students will
gain an appreciation of cultures other than their own while learning to
understand, read, write, and speak Spanish.
