Grading Policy

GRADE REPORTING The computer printed grade report is issued four
times each year. (The first three reports are given to the student
in school. The final report is issued to seniors at Commencement.
All other students will receive report cards via mail.) This report
illustrates the marking period and cumulative quality point average
(QPA), teacher comments, attendance, unit value for presently
enrolled subjects, and total accumulated units.

The grades on the
report are interpreted as follows: A-92 to 100 B-83 to 91 C-74 to 82
D-65 to 73 F-0 to 63

HONOR ROLL REQUIREMENTS
Honors with
Distinction: 98 or above. No Cs, Ds or Fs.
First Honors 93 or
higher No Ds or Fs.
Second Honors 88 to 92.9 No Ds or Fs.
Weighted grades will refer to only Advanced Placement Calculus,
Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, Advanced Placement
Biology, Advanced Placement Chemistry and Advanced Placement
History. Five-tenth (.5) credit will be added to the students grade
and QPA for an advanced placement course.

A student with an
incomplete cannot be considered for the honor roll. If a student
receives an incomplete on his or her report card, the student must
make arrangements with the instructor to fulfill needed obligations
within a reasonable period of time. If the arrangement is not made
within this designated period, the grade becomes a failure. If the
student does not fulfill obligations during the time period agreed
to by the teacher, the grade will recorded as a failure. At the end
of the fourth marking period all incomplete grades for that marking
period will be changed to a failure after one week.
