Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Talent Search

The Dallas Middle School participates in the John’s Hopkins Talent Search
Program, which identifies, assesses, and recognizes students with exceptional
mathematical and/or verbal reasoning abilities.

Students who qualify for the Talent Search will have the opportunity to take the SCAT(6th
grade),the SAT or the ACT(7th & 8th grades).

Academic Achievement Recognition Assemblies

An academic awards assembly is held at the end of each quarter/marking period
to recognize students have who have achieved 2nd Honors, 1st Honors and
Honors with Distinction. Students, who have distinguished themselves through
athletics, community service and academic achievement are also recognized at
this time.
