Counseling

Individual Counseling

The middle school counselors maintain an “open door” policy at all times and encourage students to stop in whenever they have questions or concerns during the school year. The counselors attempt to see academically at-risk students quarterly to discuss study skills, planning, time management and personal concerns which may be impacting their achievement.
Small Group Counseling
At the beginning of the school year, the counselors meet with 6th grade students in small groups for an orientation program. The purpose of these meetings is to familiarize the students with the guidance office and to help them feel comfortable about stopping in to talk if they have questions or concerns during the school year.
