Dallas Middle School
Family & Consumer Science
I teach all of the Family & Consumer Science classes and therefore
teach almost every child in the Dallas Middle School at least once each
year. First quarter I also teach Study Skills to a third of the 6th grade,
Money Matters to a third of the 7th grade, and Career Awareness to a third
of the 8th grade.
This will be my fifteenth year at Dallas Middle School. Before this
assignment I taught at Dallas High School for fourteen years.
I also provide the costumes for the high school drama productions. This will
be my twenty-fifth year as Assistant Drama Coach. I have also costumed
plays for Misericordia University. I enjoy theater and music. I also spend
a lot of time sewing and gardening. During the summer I enjoy getting lost in
a good mystery book. A weakness is chocolate. Dark, of course!
Taking good care of yourself is an important part of being the best student
you can be. Making wise food choices can make a difference in how you feel
and perform. The study of foods and nutrition will help students be the best
they can be.
