How many essays are written in Supplemental Writing?

Students will write 4 essays, one in each type of writing: narrative,
imaginative, informational, and persuasive.

How long do essays have to be?

Essays will be a minimum of 5 paragraphs: an introduction, 3 body paragraphs,
and a conclusion. A paragraph must be at least five sentences.

How much is each essay worth?

Each essay is worth 30 points. 20 of those points come from the PSSA Writing
Rubric and 10 points are given for following the writing process.

What happens if a paper is not handed in by the due date?

One point is deducted from the grade for each class day it is not handed in.
