Make-A-Wish

Kids helping Kids

My 4th period class decided they wanted to help grant a child a wish. Anyone can refer a child to Make-A-Wish; teacher, parent, minister, friend, etc. If a child is diagnosed with a life threatening condition (by their doctor/specialist), and meet the qualifications (at least 2 1/2 and not quite 18) and has not been granted a wish by any wish foundation before, they can choose from 4 major categories: something they want; somewhere they want to go; someone they want to meet; or someone/thing, they want to be. We always do our best to make their dream come true. These compassionate kids to the right, helped one of them one their way to find a glimpse of hope and laughter which lifts the human spirit.

Each one of us has the power to help someone else. It is whether we choose to or not that matters.

Make-A-Wish's flower is the Dandelion.. when it blossoms, you always make a wish, remember doing that as a child?
