Homework

Swimming Classes

 1. All students need to be prepared for each class with a bathing suit and 
    a towel. Swimming attire must be school appropriate. No string 
    bikinis or "cut-off" shorts are permitted.
 2. All jewelry must be removed.
 3. Students may bring goggles(not masks)however they are not required.
 4. Students must bring a combination lock to secure their belongigs and 
    valuables. They may use the locker for the class period and must 
    remove the lock and bring it with them each time.

Physical Education Classes

1.  All students need to be prepared for each class. Students are required
    to change for physical education. T-Shirt, shorts, sweat pants are 
    acceptable. Sneakers are mandatory.

2.  All jewelry must be removed.

3.  Students must bring a combination lock to secure their belongings and 
    valuables. They may use the locker for the class period and must     
    remove the lock and bring it with them each time.

4. Students are graded on preparation for class and class participation. 

5. Possible points for each class of 10 out 10. Students notparticipating     
    or not prepared will lose points.

6. Students may only be excused from class by providing a note from parent 
   or guardian, medical excuse from a doctor , or be excused by the school  
   nurse.
7. Students that are feeling ill or become injured should report illness or 
    injury to Mrs. Mosier immediately.


Health Classes

1.   All students need to be prepared for each class with a pen or a pencil.

                     Water Safety Power Point Project

Directions:

•	Groups of three or four.
•	Select a topic. (Do not choose pool safety, this is covered in class).
•	Group names, selected topic and at least 2 sources identified and 
        turned in by MArch 1, 2013. Assignment is worth 10 points.
•	Power Point Project April 5, 2013.Project is worth 100 points.


Each student will have a job to do:

1. Each student will identify one of four different unsafe water safety 
practices, related to the selected topic. The student will apply and explain 
appropriate corrections to the unsafe practices that are identified. 

2. One student will put together the power point presentation including the 
safety information.

3. One student will finish the power point presentation making sure all 
works cited are compiled and accurate.

4. Each member of the group will present ¼ of the project.

Requirements:

•Power point presentations MUST be done in school and saved to your G       
 Drive.

•Must include a title slide with the project name and the names and members 
of your group.

• The power point must be 10 slides in length.(The title 
slide and works cited slides do not count as part of the 10).

• Background needs to be appropriate and information should be read easily.

• Include information relative to safety about the selected topic.

• Appropriate pictures are encouraged. Works cited slide must give credit to 
all information used in the presentation as well as all pictures used.

•Completed project must be in Mrs. Mosier’s drop box on the M drive by 
April 5, 2013. 

•Must include a printout of the slides (do not print each slide separately; 
six slides will fit on a page) to hand in once the project is submitted to 
Mrs. Mosier’s drop box on the M drive. Rubric must be attached or points will 
be deducted. Handout with Rubric attached put in Mrs. Mosier's mailbox, 
located in computer lab 126.

April 5, 2013 will receive a 10 point deduction from the final project grade.
