September-June
First Friday Sno Cone Sale: Sno cones will be sold for $1.00 during lunch periods on the first Friday throughout the school year.
Revenue generated will be used for dance supplies, awards for students and other Student Council events.
| October |
Student Council Cookie Dough Sale: Student council reps sell cookie dough in this sale managed through Great Opportunities Inc. |
Profits are used to support student council activities including attendance at conferences, council shirts and awards, and dance supplies.
September-June
Student Council Dances: Admission, $4.00 per student, is collected to fund the DJ and other dance expenses. Dependent on dance attendance, a small profit is gained. Low attendance results in a deficit toward expenses.
Any dance profit is used to support future dances (e.g. attendance is low and does not cover the price of the DJ.) In May, the remaining funds are used to pay for the Eighth Grade Farewell.
September-June
National Organization Charity Collections: Throughout the year, the Student Council raises funds for charities including the Back Mountain Food Pantry, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Breast Cancer Awareness and others. All monies (100%) are donated to identified charity.
No revenue is generated through these efforts.
November
Yearbook Sale: Though not designed to raise revenue, dependent on the number of books sold and the vender price reduction based on volume sold the sale could result in a small profit. A small number of sales could result in the student activities account offsetting the cost for students.
Any year book profit is to purchase complimentary yearbooks for economically disadvantaged children. Revenue beyond those uses is deposited into the student activities account to be utilized for items described in the context of the magazine sale.
January-February
Magazine Sale: This is the only building wide fundraiser the middle school utilizes yearly. Managed through QSP Inc., students sell magazine subscriptions.
The magazine sale affords the building 40% of the total sale revenue generated. This revenue comprises the majority of the student activities account. These monies are use to support:
-Student Field Trips
-Field Day(s)
-School Wide Assemblies
-National Junior Honor Society
-Student Activity Equipment
-Special Event t-shirts and materials
-Other student lead activities

The jazz band parents have opted to raise funds specifically related to jazz band travel. These monies are handled by the parents' organization and are not managed by the middle school. Activities have included a dance and a spaghetti dinner.
