The 6th Grade Orientation

The 6th Grade Orientation held on August 17, 2016 was a tremendous success! We had over 350 students and parents in attendance. There was an opening program held in the auditorium by our Principal, Mr. Jeffrey Shaffer followed by a meet and greet with our 6th grade teachers, handing out of schedules and even a BBQ!

Pictured here are our Student Council Representatives, Mr. Shaffer and a number of our 6th grade teachers and support staff.

NEW-Updated Safety Procedures for 2016-17

In the Dallas School District, student safety is our top priority. The Dallas Middle School will be instituting a number of new safety procedures for the 2016-17 school year. Students will be required to utilize mesh or clear backpacks only. Backpacks will be stored in lockers upon arrival into the building. Large sports equipment bags will be stored in bins and locked away until they are needed at the end of the day.

A.M. Drop-off Procedures

In an effort to alleviate morning traffic concerns, the following procedures will be implemented for parents who drop off middle school students for school, effective Tuesday, September 10, 2013.

1. Parents should enter the campus via Conyngham Ave and proceed toward Wycallis Elementary School.
2. Parents should enter the second half-circle drop-off area in front of WYCALLIS and proceed around the half-circle and stop.
3. Students should exit vehicles in the WYCALLIS half-circle drop-off area.
4. After letting students out, parents should exit the campus via Conyngham Ave. Turn left onto Conyngham Ave.
5. Students will proceed along sidewalks to the main MIDDLE SCHOOL entrance.
6. Teachers will supervise the walk.

Parents who need to drop off middle and high school students should continue to use the access road in front of Dallas Elementary School. All parents are encouraged to allow students to be transported by bus when at all possible.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Video Surveillance Implemented

Please be advised that Dallas Middle School now utilizes video surveillance to enhance security measures in and around the building.
