Dear Parents,
I hope that you and your family are well. I would just like to update you on the websites that are now currently available for your child to use, to enhance his/her education. The second grade teachers are trying to provide you with educational sites- sites that would help your child practice reading skills that are being reviewed in second grade.
On the second grade home page, you will notice a Reading Links as you scroll down the second grade offerings. Click on that link. You will notice a variety of websites. I am encouraging each child to practice these sites frequently, especially the sight words, sight word phrases, The Rhyme Game. When time permits, please have your child explore all of them. Many of these skills are include in the RtI assessments that will be given throughout the year.

The following website is an excellent resource for practicing spelling words and the most frequently used spelling words. I hope that your child will enjoy this site! (You may need to click on the state of Pennsylvania, and then follow the cues until you find "2ndGrade Spelling". The spelling words will follow along with the stories in our reader.)
