Band Contract 2007‑2008

I have read the Gold and Red Band Information Sheet. I understand all procedures and that failure to follow them could result in removal from the instrumental program. Attendance at all rehearsals and concerts is required. I will schedule teacher help sessions on days when band is not meeting.

Removal from the band may occur only after I meet and discuss the matter with my parents, lesson and band instructor(s) separately. Then, all parties involved, myself, parents, and teacher(s), will discuss the matter. If removal from the program seems appropriate then, and only then, will it occur. There are three times during the year that this process may take place: at the beginning of the school year in September, at mid‑term in January, and at the end of the school year in June.

This contractual agreement is necessary because of my importance to the band program. My actions and attendance at rehearsals affect every other member of the organization. Therefore, I will conduct myself in such a manner as to bring knowledge and dignity not only to myself, but to the entire instrumental team. I am important. I will strive to do my best.
