Greetings from the middle school. The year’s culminating musical event has arrived. The SPRING CONCERT begins at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the high school auditorium. The following letter contains information pertaining to this concert, as well as related events for the remainder of the year.

I. THE CONCERT:

When:     Wednesday, May 13, 2009
Time:      7:30 p.m.
Where:    Avon Grove High School Auditorium
Reporting Times:    Red Band:   7:00 p.m. (band room)
                              Gold Band:  7:00 p.m. (band room)
Please report on time! Do not arrive before the appointed time. Go directly to the band room. Concert attendance is mandatory.

II. Attire:

A. Black Shoes
B. Black Socks
C. Black Pants
D. White Shirt
E. Band Vest
F. No Jeans, Shorts, or Sneakers
G. Any Gold Band member who has a vest problem, see Mr. Skoniczin     IMMEDIATELY!

A. All music must be passed off by Friday, May 8, during the regular   lesson
     period.
B. Students are reminded that regular attendance at band and lessons are        part of the grading procedure.
C. Concert attendance is mandatory.

IV. DRESS REHEARSAL:

A. Dress rehearsal will take place Wednesday, May 13, during the school
     day.

C. All students should check with their regularly scheduled classroom teachers for assignments and class work. Our dress rehearsal is not an          excuse for missed work.
D. Students are reminded that we are guests of the high school and should     act accordingly. Future concerts and trips depend on outstanding    behavior.


V. Elementary Tour:

A. When: Friday, May 15, 7:50 a.m. to 12:10 a.m.
B. Who: Members of the Gold Band and Avon Grove Singers
C. Where: Elementary schools of the Avon Grove School District
D. Itinerary:

          7:50 a.m.      Arrive in the middle school band room
          8:00 a.m.      Load bus and depart for Penn London
          8:30 a.m.      Arrive at Penn London
          8:45 a.m.      Performance at Penn London
          9:15 a.m.      Depart for A.G.I.S.
          9:45 a.m.      Performance at A.G.I.S.
          10:45 a.m.    Depart for F.S.E.
          11:15 a.m.    Arrive at F.S.E.
     
11:30 a.m.    Lunch at F.S.E.
          12:10 a.m.    Return to class, Do your homework!

Vi. Obligations:

       Please note that the end of the year is rapidly approaching. All obligations must be paid. Please check with Mr. Skoniczin for a current list of those students who owe money.
